In this video, I take a look at how I did the plumbing on my 220 saltwater aquarium. We cover everything you need to help you plumb your aquarium at home. When you set out to plumb an aquarium with a sump, the more planning you put into the project, the better it will turn out. This is not a very hard thing to do at all as long as your patient and take your time.

For the most part my DIY aquarium plumbing on the 220 gallon saltwater aquarium was based around keeping it simple. With the use of the EcoTech Marine Vectra M1 I was able to do this. Other Return pumps do not offer the control that the M1 does so that would have required me to have a more elaborate plumbing system.

With the use of a DC return pump you can really simplify your aquarium plumbing project. The way I chose to plumb my 220 gallon reef aquarium was nothing fancy but it gets the job done.
